‘Veera Simha Reddy’ writer Sai Madhav Burra talks about Balakrishna slapping his fans
Veera Simha Reddy’s dialogue writer Sai Madhav Burra recently interacted with television media and talked about the movie and the controversy it caused. A dialogue from the movie featured the abuse ‘Bh…ike,’ which caused an uproar among YCP members who claimed it was aimed at YS Jagan, the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh. Sai Madhav clarified that his sole aim was to write a powerful dialogue for Nandamuri Balakrishna, but it was misconstrued with some giving it a political flavour.
In the same interview, he talked about Balayya’s habit of physically assaulting his fans. The actor has made headlines time and again for slapping fans who irk him. Sai Madhav Burra opened up on the same “He said, ‘I keep hitting my fans. Why do heroes hire bouncers? To hit fans, right? … Who are they to hit my fans? Should I pay to hire a man to hit my fans? They are my fans. They are my family. If they irk me, I will deal with them. Who is the bouncer to get between me and my fans?”
Sai Madhav said listening to Balakrishna’s explanation made him respect the actor and better understand what goes on in his mind. ‘Veera Simha Reddy’, a movie featuring the work of both artistes, is slated for a release on January 12, 2023.
