The Indian-born Portuguese actress, Ileana D'Cruz, opened up on her battle with depression and her thoughts which took her down a dark path Off late there have been rumours on social media that actress Ileana D’Cruz had contemplated suicide at one point in her life. In an interview given to a media house, the Pokiri girl had clarified about the same, and spoke about her condition. She said, “Yes, it is true that in the past, I was seriously on the verge of taking my life. But as is being speculated, it wasn’t because of ‘body shaming’. Since the age of 12, I’ve had some body-related issues. So, I’ve been very careful about my body”. She further added, “There were some incidents which took place and I went into a depression as a result of which I had suicidal thoughts. But the media said it was because of ‘body shaming’ and ‘body dysmporphia’ which isn’t true at all. Reading this news really annoyed me”. Ileana clarified that her battle with depression was because of her personal issues and it had nothing to do with her body-related issues. On the work front, Ileana D’Cruz was last seen in the Ravi Teja-starrer 'Amar Akbar Anthony (2018)' in Telugu, and she's been busy in Bollywood. She will next be seen in the Hindi film 'Unfair and Lovely' opposite actor Randeep Hooda.
