Hollywood Critics Association issues clarification on why Jr NTR did not join Ram Charan at the awards as fans create a brawl on Twitter
SS Rajamouli's RRR is on a winning streak. Recently the film won big at the Hollywood Critics Association Awards under four categories: ‘Best Stunts’, ‘Best Action Film’, ‘Best International Film’, and ‘Best Song’ for the blockbuster song “Naatu Naatu”.
Except for the lead actor Jr NTR, the entire ‘RRR’ team including Rajamouli, lead actor Ram Charan, and MM Keeravani among others attended the ceremony. Ram Charan was also one of the presenters at the prestigious award ceremony. While Ram Charan and Jr NTR have been present at all events till now, the latter's absence from HCA Awards 2023 irked the fans.
NTR's absence has created a stir as fans claimed RC was stealing the limelight and it's all PR strategy. However, now Hollywood Critics Association addressed the fans and supporters of ‘RRR’ and said that they did invite Jr NTR and also have a special award for him, but he couldn't attend for personal reasons.
Clarifying the baseless rumours, the association tweeted, "Dear RRR fans & supporters, We did invite N. T. Rama Rao Jr. to attend the #HCAFilmAwards, but he is shooting a new film in India. He will be receiving his awards from us shortly. Thank you for all your love and support. Sincerely, The Hollywood Critics Association."
HCA further added that the actor was supposed to shoot for a film which is why he was not at the ceremony. He lost his brother a few days ago which is why he stepped away from the movie. The HCA got this info from the actor's team.
