Chiranjeevi breaks the shackles of his recent releases; delivers as the Megastar
The movie that Mega fans were waiting for entered the worldwide cinemas on January 13. Hailing director KS Ravindra (Bobby) for portraying their Megastar Chiranjeevi in a role they had anticipated for so long has worked in favour of Waltair Veerayya and the box office collections are a testament to that. As per Mythri Movie Makers, the production house that produced the action drama; 'Waltair Veerayya' has crossed past the ₹100 crore club on day 3.
Confirming the same on their social media account, Mythri Movie Makers shared a stunning visual of Chiru from the film atop an elephant and announced that 'Waltair Veerayya' has fetched a worldwide gross collection of ₹108 crores in the three-day theatrical run since its release on January 13, 2023. The production house captioned the post, “#WaltairVeerayya takes over the Box Office like BOSS 😎🔥 108 Crores Gross in 3 days for MEGA MASS BLOCKBUSTER #WaltairVeerayya 🔥💥 (sic).”
While Chiru essayed the titular role, Shruti Haasan played the female lead character of an R&AW (Research and Analysis Wing) agent in the film. With Prakash Raj and Bobby Simha as the antagonists, Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja played the role of ‘ACP Vikram Sagar’; the unyielding honourable cop, who’s also the stepbrother of ‘Waltair Veerayya’ (Chiranjeevi). Audiences and critics hailed the action sequences oozing vintage Chiru essence and the dynamics between Ravi Teja and Chiranjeevi as the high points of the action drama. Akin to its regional box office performance, the film races in the US as well. Read the article below to know more about the same.
