Chiranjeevi-Ravi Teja starrer is gaining traction at the US box office in pre-release ticket sales
In 2000, Megastar Chiranjeevi and Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja shared the screen as brothers in Annayya. The audience univocally loved their camaraderie. Two decades later, the two stars are set to join forces again for Waltair Veerayya. The movie is slated for a theatrical release on January 13.
Turns out the audience is extremely excited to watch the pair share the screen again. According to trade reports, ‘Waltiar Veerayya’ hit the $100K mark in pre-sales in the USA. The movie will premiere on January 12 in various locations across the country. The movie surpassed Chiranjeevi’s Acharya and is at par with the numbers for Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.
‘Waltiar Veerayya’, directed by KS Ravindra, stars Shruti Haasan, Catherine Tresa, and Rajendra Prasad in pivotal roles. Chiranjeevi and Ravi Teja are reportedly playing step-brothers brought up in dramatically different environments who clash upon meeting. How they solve their differences and join forces forms the crux of the story.
‘Waltair Veerayya’ will release during the Sankranti weekend and will face stiff competition from Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy, Santosh Shobhan’s Kalyanam Kamaneeyam, Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Varisu’ (Vaarasudu in Telugu), and Ajith Kumar’s ‘Thunivu’ (Thegimpu in Telugu).
