Vijay Turns Sport Entrepreneur, Becomes co-owner of Volleyball team

After venturing into the fashion world with Rowdy wear actor Vijay Deverakonda has entered the sports arena. The Arjun Reddy actor picked up a stake in Hyderabad Black Hawks, a franchise in the professional men's indoor volleyball league, Prime Volleyball. With this, the actor has become co-owner of the team along with investor Abhishek Reddy Kankanala. The Prime Volleyball League is a privately owned Indian professional volleyball league with eight teams from Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Calicut, Kochi, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Mumbai.
"It is our vision to take volleyball to all corners of the country, to all ages, all genders, all backgrounds, and all levels of athleticism. We want to empower our rural communities the same way as our cities and level the playing field for all of our children. We want volleyball to be more than just a sport — we want to transform it into something that can help and benefit everyone," said Deverakonda on his association.
On the work front, Vijay will be next seen in ‘#VD12’ helmed by filmmaker Gowtam Tinnanuri, who is best known for the highly acclaimed film Jersey. The Kushi actor is all set to play a cop for the first time in his acting career. Naga Vamsi S and Sai Soujanya are jointly bankrolling the film under their banners Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, while Srikara Studios will present the film.
