At the promotional event of 'Liger', Vijay Deverakonda speaks about the possibility of joining Lokesh Kanagaraj's Cinematic Universe which started off with Kamal Haasan's 'Vikram'
Pan-India star Vijay Deverakonda has been actively promoting his upcoming release Liger. As part of the ‘Liger Fandom Tour’, Team Liger are travelling across the country to promote the sports drama. Arriving in Chennai as part of the promotional tour, Vijay opened up about Tamil cinema and his favourite directors in the Tamil film industry.
Speaking at the event, Vijay revealed that he admires Lokesh Kanagaraj and his movies the most. Remarking that he is a big fan of Lokesh, Vijay stated that he will definitely get a call from the ‘Vikram: Hitlist’ director in the coming days. With this, the Arjun Reddy actor hinted at the possibility of him joining the 'Lokesh Cinematic Universe' which became a rage post the success of the Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Fahadh Faasil starrer. Fans even rejoiced the inclusion of Suriya as ‘Rolex’ in the movie, which attained cult status despite the actor's brief cameo appearance.
Vijay is pacing for his upcoming pan-India release ‘Liger’, which is scheduled to hit the theatres on August 25. The movie has Vijay and Ananya Panday playing the leads, while Ramya Krishnan and boxing legend Mike Tyson essay pivotal roles in the movie. Directed by Puri Jagannadh, the movie will hit theatres in Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, and Malayalam languages.
