With this all Sankranti releases have received censor board clearanceVeera Simha Reddy and Kalyanam Kamaneeyam are a week away from release and have completed the final formalities with the censor board. Out of the five releases scheduled for the next weekend, three have already gotten censor certifications.‘Veera Simha Reddy’ starring Nandamuri Balakrishna and directed by Gopichand Malineni is set in Rayalaseema. Balakrishna will be seen in a dual role of father and son, the former the head of a village in Kurnool. With a runtime of 170 minutes the movie received U/A certification from the censor board on January 6. The movie is slated for a theatrical release on January 12. ‘Kalyanam Kamaneeyam’ directed by Anil Kumar Alla is a romantic drama starring Santosh Shobhan. The movie is the story of a married couple who have to navigate the many feuds that follow. The 2 hour long movie received a clean U certification from the censor board on January 8. The movie is slated for a release on January 14. Upon release they will face stiff competition from Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya, Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Varisu’ (releasing in Telugu as Vaarasudu) and ‘Thala’ Ajith Kumar’s ‘Thunivu’ (releasing in Telugu as Tegimpu).
