The movie’s Tamil version ‘Varisu’ will release as per schedule while the Telugu version, ‘Vaarasudu’ will release at a later dateA few days ago, Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Varisu’ team announced a new release date for the Tamil version of the movie, January 11. The change in release date caused confusion among fans and distributors because overseas presales for the movie had already begun, and now the premiere dates needed to be moved. Since the makers had not officially confirmed the release date for Vaarasudu, reports had suggested that the Telugu version was postponed and would release at a later date. A source had rubbished the rumours at the time, claiming both versions of the movie would release at the same time. Today, January 9, the director Vamshi Paidipally and producer Dil Raju hosted a press conference to speak to Telugu media about the movie and promote ‘Vaarasudu’. In the press meet they announced that the Telugu version of the movie would not release with the Tamil version. ‘Vaarasudu’ will come out on Saturday, January 14.According to speculations, Thaman, the music director for the movie, has been working overtime to deliver for his two Sankranti releases - Veera Simha Reddy and ‘Varisu’. While the ‘Varisu' soundtrack was completed before the audio launch, Thaman worked on the Telugu songs until the past weekend. Out of the five songs in the movie, two have already been released in Telugu and three more will soon follow suit. Dil Raju added, “The Telugu version copy is ready. The statements of a content delay are false. Today the movie will be censored. Although I can release the movie on the scheduled date, I changed the release date for our Tollywood.” The movie will now avoid clashes with Waltair Veerayya and ‘Veera Simha Reddy’.Sri Venkateswara Creations, Dil Raju's production company bankrolling the movie announced the same on a Tweet: Twitter
