Makers of Vijay Sethupathi’s latest outing ‘DSP’ have apparently bagged a deal for its digital streaming rightsBy delivering a remarkable performance as the villain in the 2021 film Uppena, actor Vijay Sethupathi swayed the Telugu audiences. For Setuhpathi, 2022 has been a remarkable year with the colossal success of Lokesh Kanagaraj-directorial Vikram: Hitlist. He essayed the role of ‘Santhanam’ in the Kamal Haasan-starrer and bagged acclaim by portraying the sinister shades of the antagonist character. More recently, the actor played the lead in the Tamil flick ‘DSP’ and unfortunately, the film couldn’t mimic even a fraction of Vikram’s box office performance. After a dismal box office run, ‘DSP’ now gears up for its OTT release. Buzz has it that the makers of ‘DSP’ have signed a deal with Netflix and apparently, the digital service will stream Sethupathi’s ‘DSP’ starting December 30. Reportedly, the Tamil original flick will be available on Netflix while the word on the availability of its dubbed versions is unknown. Written and directed by Ponram, the action comedy stars Sethupathi as ‘Vascodagama’ and actress Anukreethy Vas as ‘Annapoorani.’
