The actor spoke about three dream characters of which he could play only one on screenKaikala Satyanarayana, known popularly as ‘Navarasa Natana Sarvabhouma’ passed away in the wee hours of December 23. He acted in over 800 movies over the course of his career which spanned five decades. and played a repertoire of roles from protagonist to antagonist and everything in between. So , were there any roles which the legendary actor miss out on?Speaking to the media in the past, Satyanarayana admitted to wanting to play a couple of roles, out of which he could only play one. The legendary actor had always wanted to play the role of “Chatrapathi Shivaji” and “Duryodhana.” Later, after watching ‘Koshish’ starring Sanjeev Kumar as a deaf and mute protagonist, he wanted to recreate a similar role in Telugu films. Unfortunately, he only got to fulfil one of his wishes. He played the role of “Duryodhana” in the 1977 film Kurukshetram. The film also featured other legendary stars Krishna, Krishnamraju and Shobhan Babu, in pivotal roles. The actor who was last seen in the 2019 flick Maharshi spoke about how he doesn’t get to pick the roles he plays, he can only choose from the ones that are offered to him. However, he ended the interaction by talking about how he was content at having gotten the chance to play all types of roles. He played everything from mythological, historical, social, folklore, and even a cowboy. Losing the legendary actor is a great loss to the Telugu film industry.
