Chiranjeevi, Lokesh Kanagaraj, Khushbu, Nithiin and many others backed Trisha for standing up against objectionable remarks made by Mansoor Ali KhanEver since actress Trisha called out Mansoor Ali Khan for his distasteful comments about her in a press meet, there has been an outpour of support from the important voices in the film industry. Today, even ‘Megastar’ Chiranjeevi stood in solidarity with the actress and strongly condemned the remarks of Mr Khan. The renowned actor took to platform X and wrote, “My attention was drawn to some reprehensible comments made by actor Mansoor Ali Khan about Trisha. The comments are distasteful and disgusting not just for an Artiste but for any woman or girl. These comments must be condemned in the strongest words. They reek of perversion. I stand with @trishtrashers and every woman who has to be subject to such horrid comments. (sic)”Besides Chiranjeevi, Telugu actor Nithiin also quoted Trisha's tweet and wrote, "I strongly condemn Mr. Mansoor Ali Khan’s vile and vulgar statement against Trisha. Chauvinism has no place in our society. I urge everyone to stand up against such remarks against women in our industry.” Twitter Lokesh Kanagaraj too was enraged by the incident and reacted to Trisha's tweet saying, “Disheartened and enraged to hear the misogynistic comments made by Mr.Mansoor Ali Khan, given that we all worked in the same team. Respect for women, fellow artists and professionals should be a non-negotiable in any industry and I absolutely condemn this behaviour. (sic)”Singer-cum-dubbing artiste, Chinmayi Sripada also expressed her dismay and reiterated how she was instantly banned and silenced for calling out her molestors, but no immediate action has been taken up against Mr Khan for his vile remarks. On the other hand, NCW member and actress Khushbu Sundar stated that she would take the matter to the attention of the senior officials, and ensure that proper action is taken against Mr Khan.Yesterday, the National Commission for Women too extended their support to Trisha and tweeted, “The National Commission for Women is deeply concerned about the derogatory remarks made by actor Mansoor Ali Khan towards actress Trisha Krishna. We're taking suo motu in this matter directing the DGP to invoke IPC Section 509 B and other relevant laws. Such remarks normalize violence against women and must be condemned. (sic)”However, despite the public outcry, Mansoor Ali Khan hasn't issued a statement of apology for his disrespectful remarks against his colleague, although he put out a post defending his remarks on his Instagram handle.
