Rao breathed his last at his son, actor-filmmaker Ravi Babu’s residence in Banjara Hills. An official statement released by Rao's family states that the cremation will take place on Wednesday after his daughter returns from the US.Born on May 8, 1944, Chalapathi Rao debuted as an actor in 1996. He is best known for his villainous roles and phenomenal comic timing in Telugu films like Chattamtho Poratam, Yamagola Malli Modalayindi. In a career spanning over five decades, he acted in over 600 movies and has shared screen space with notable artists such as NTR, Krishna, Nagarjuna, and Venkatesh. Following the news of the veteran actor's demise, Twitter was flooded with condolence messages from fans and his colleagues.
