As Thalapathy Vijay's 66th film is being shot in Hyderabad and the actor took time off from the sheet to meet the Telangana Chief Minister Tamil superstar Vijay is now acting in his first direct Telugu cinema in the direction of Vamshi Paidipally. The movie is being produced by Dil Raju and a schedule of the film is currently under way in Hyderabad. This is the 66th film in the career of Vijay and the movie has been confirmed as a Sankranthi release in 2023. Meanwhile, Vijay took some time off from the film’s shoot to pay a courtesy call to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. He was accompanied by Vamsi Paidipally and a Member of Parliament Santosh Kumar, who is the nephew of the Chief Minister. Santosh Kumar had nominated Vijay for the #GreenIndiaChallenge and the Beast actor had taken it up successfully by planting a sampling. Mentioning this fact in his tweet, Santosh Kumar said it was a pleasure to have met Vijay. Political analysts though say there’s more to it than meets the eye regarding Vijay’s visit to Pragati Bhavan, the residence of the Chief Minister.
