Nelson Dilip Kumar is set to direct Rajinikanth in his 169th film Director Nelson Dilip Kumar’s latest outing at the box-office Beast, starring Tamil superstar Vijay and Pooja Hegde, ended up as a dud at the ticket-window. Actor Vijay’s father Chandrasekhar also made some controversial comments about the film stating that ‘Beast’ was a hit because of Vijay and that the screenplay and visual effects let the film down. “When themes based on terrorism and RAW agents are addressed, there is ample scope for the director to create magic on screen, sadly, Nelson failed in doing that,” remarked Chandrasekhar who is a director himself. Against this backdrop, rumours surfaced that the result of ‘Beast’ might affect the collaboration between Nelson and Rajinikanth who are supposed to team up. The gossip was that Nelson might not get the opportunity to direct Rajnikanth in the latter’s 169th film as ‘Beast’ had turned out to be a disaster. However, Rajnikanth in his inimitable style has silenced all these rumours. He recently updated his Twitter header to a snapshot from the film’s title announcement trailer, in which he was seen with Nelson and music composer of the film Anirudh Ravichander. As they say, a picture speaks a thousand words.
