During the promotions for the upcoming film Ghani, Music director S Thaman was asked his thoughts on this era's film music albums Music composer S Thaman needs no introduction to cinema lovers. The most sought-after musician in Telugu cinema recently participated in the promotions for the Varun Tej-starrer Ghani, for which he composed the music. Thaman was asked a question on who he tends to take his frustration out on when things are not going according to plan. Pat came the answer, “My Keyboard! It has always borne the brunt of my fury and there are hundreds of broken keys to vouch for it.” On a more serious note though, Thaman made an interesting observation about how the music scene is evolving in Telugu cinema. “Earlier, in commercial cinema, there used to be more or less a template for songs: an item number, a duet, a great number before the interval bang, etc. But now, it’s come to the point where the placement of the songs is being driven purely by the story. The content dictates the music and not some pre-determined format,” said the ace composer. After tremendous success of Akhanda, Thaman became one of the busiest music composers in Telugu cinema and has numerous big films lined up for release.
