'Veera Simha Reddy’ and ‘Waltair Veerayya’ can screen benefit shows on release dateThis Sankranti is one of the biggest in terms of movie releases with Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy and Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya promising a return to the actors’ vintage classic charm. Audiences are hyped for both releases which are set to hit the theatres a day apart. The Telangana government has now given the go ahead for the production house Mythri Movie Makers to screen premiere shows at 4:00 in the morning. Such premieres require advance permission from the government because they can create crowd control issues necessitating police presence. Following the permission from the government, Mythri Movie Makers, which bankrolled both movies can now have six shows on the release date and five on the subsequent days. In Andhra Pradesh, the production company has requested the government for permission to increase the ticket prices. As they have spent huge amounts on making these films, their producers wanted the state government to intervene and permit all managements of film theatres in the state to enhance ticket cost by Rs 50. AP government too relented and agreed to increase the price, albeit by Rs 25.‘Veera Simha Reddy’ will be released on January 12, 2023, with premiere shows held early in the morning. ‘Waltair Veerayya’ will hit the screen a day later on January 13. Both films star Shruti Haasan as the female lead.
