The actor collapsed during the Yuvagalam Padayatra with Nara LokeshNandamuri Taraka Ratna, the grandson of NT Rama Rao, was recently in Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh, accompanying TDP politician Nara Lokesh, the son of former AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on his Padayatra. Soon after the duo offered prayers at the Varadaraja Swamy Temple, and a mosque in the area of Kuppam Taraka Ratna fainted. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital in the region. Nandamuri Balakrishna rushed to the hospital as soon as he heard the news about his nephew’s ill health. Reportedly the doctors said that he had suffered a cardiac arrest. They further revealed that there was no pulse when the actor was admitted, and his body was also turning blue. After 45 minutes of vigorous treatment, his pulse returned to normal. An angiogram was performed, and after discovering blocks, doctors put a stent in his heart.Late on the night on 27 January, the actor was shifted from Kuppam to Bangalore for better medical treatment. Taraka Ratna is now admitted to Narayana Institute of Cardiac Sciences (Narayana Hrudayalaya) in Bangalore, which is often listed among the best cardiology hospitals in the city. Actor Balakrishna, who was with his nephew at the hospital provided the following update about his nephew's health when talking to Times of India, "All his parameters read okay. They have given first aid and taken care of him as well as they can. There is nothing to worry about. The doctors have also suggested us to take him to Bengaluru. He had a heart attack, and his valves are blocked." The doctors from Narayana Hrudayalaya released a media bulletin providing further update on his condition, it reads, “His condition is highly critical due to cardiogenic shock after the Myocardial Infarction, and evaluation of his conditions will continue with treatment under standard guidelines and protocols.” See their bulletin here:Credits: Suresh Kondi | TwitterUpdating the well-wishers on the state of the actor, doctors from Narayana Hrudayala said that Taraka is in a coma and his vitals are being continuously monitored. Doctors have asked family to be patient until Monday for an update on his health, as his condition is critical and the staff at the hospital is doing the best to help him recover. Taraka started his acting career in 2002 with Okato Number Kurradu. He worked as the hero in several films before expanding his horizons by essaying the villain in the films Amaravathi and Raja Cheyyi Vesthe. He was last seen in the movie S5 No Exit and has several other projects in the pipeline, including Mr Tarak and Amrutha Varshini.
