Suriya's 42nd Film Gets An Intriguing Title

The National Award winning actor dropped an interesting title reveal video on his social media

Finally, the title of Suriya’s much awaited film has been unveiled in the form of an exciting title teaser. His debut pan-Indian film has been titled ‘Kanguva’ which means a man with the power of fire.

Sharing the title reveal video and a poster on social media, Suriya captioned it, "Sheer joy working with Siva and Team on this mighty saga. Happy to share the title look of #Kanguva." 

The video begins against the background of a dark night, showcasing an eagle, a dog, and a masked warrior riding a horse, followed by a massive army.

Speaking about the film, director Siva said, "Kanguva is a fictional story set in an imaginary world, with strong historical references and facts. The mythology-like setting might lead someone to believe this is a fantasy. However, Kanguva is not a fantasy film, and Suriya Sir’s character does not have any superpowers."

The movie marks the debut collaboration between Tamil stalwart Suriya and director Siva and further marks the leading lady Disha Patani's Tamil debut. Slated to release in early 2024, Studio Green and UV Creations are jointly bankrolling the big-budget film.
