#Suriya43 is Sudha Kongara's second collaboration with the actor after ‘Soorarai Potru / Aakaasam Nee Haddhu Ra’After winning the audiences hearts with their maiden collaboration ‘Soorarai Potru’ ('Aakaasam Nee Haddhu Ra' in Telugu), which has also won the National Film Awards for Best Actor and Screenplay, Suriya and director Sudha Kongara are teaming up again for the former's 43rd project. Suriya has announced the film on October 26 and shared a video on platform 'X'.Sharing the announcement video, Suriya wrote, “Dear all we are excited! Joining hands with @Sudha_Kongara again in a @gvprakash musical, his 100th! SO looking forward to work with my brother @dulQuer & the talented #Nazriya & the performance champ @MrVijayVarma Glad @2D_ENTPVTLTD is producing this special film! #Jyotika @rajsekarpandian #Suriya43.” The film is also music composer GV Prakash's 100th film and is produced by Suriya and Jyothika's home production, 2D Entertainment.Interestingly, the film's title is half-revealed and the revealed part reads ‘Puranānooru’, which in Tamil culture is actually a collection of 400 classical poems in the language, about kings, wars, politics, and public life, and holds great significance in Sangam literature. The text is regarded as a socio-political historical account of ancient Tamil Nadu.The half-revealed title adds strength to the reports stating that the film is based on the Anti-Hindi agitations that took place in Tamil Nadu in the late 1960s.Watch the announcement video here:
