Siddharth Anand directorial ‘Pathaan’ has achieved the feat in a mere 38 daysShah Rukh Khan’s comeback film Pathaan which was released on January 25, is still continuing its successful run at the theatres. Pathaan has become the highest-earning Hindi film, surpassing SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ which earned Rs 510.99 crore, followed by Yash’s ‘KGF 2’ (₹434 crore), Aamir Khan’s 'Dangal' (₹374 crore), and Sanjay Dutt’s biopic ‘Sanju’ (₹342 crore) starring Ranbir Kapoor.It is also the fifth Indian film to have crossed the Rs 1000 crore mark worldwide after ‘Dangal’, 'Baahubali: The Conclusion', ‘KGF 2’, and ‘RRR’. Despite being a non-holiday release ‘Pathaan’ is now the biggest-ever Hindi debut of all time, overtaking Hrithik Roshan’s ‘War’ (Rs 53.3 crore), ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ (Rs 52 crore) and the Hindi dub version of ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ (Rs 53.9 crore). In addition, the film also marks the biggest opening day figures in Shah Rukh’s career, overtaking ‘Happy New Year’ (Rs 44 crore).‘Pathaan’ is an action-spy film that features Deepika and John Abraham in pivotal roles and Salman Khan in an extended cameo as his character from the Tiger movies, which are also a part of the new shared universe that YRF has set up. New releases, including Akshay Kumar’s ’Selfiee', Kartik Aaryan-Kriti Sanon’s ‘Shehzada’ (Hindi remake of 'Ala Vaikunthpurramloo'), and Marvel’s ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ have hardly affected Pathaan's craze.
