Siddharth’s production is being unanimously hailed as ‘powerful’ and ‘sensitive’Actor Siddharth’s Tamil film ‘Chiththa’ which was released on September 28, has been garnering positive reviews and critics are hailing it as ‘the most important film’ due to it's sensitive take on Child Sexual Abuse. As part of the film’s promotions, Siddharth has revealed some interesting facts about the movie. In a recent interview to Film Companion, Siddharth said “Chiththa is the first movie in India ever to have the disclaimer that says ‘No children, birds or animals were harmed during the making of the film’. Because it’s important that we create a safe working environment for our children. So my entire daily scheduling would be based on Sahasra and Afia’s (children who acted in the film) eating time, study time, play time and sleep time, which is not how films are usually produced. In my set, they were the first priority and 40% of my set had female participation. We’re one of the few producers who had set up women’s toilets in whichever locations we shot in. So the whole way this film was made was we’re trying to tell people to be better.”The actor also shared that “In India, we don’t make films for children and children watch adult films, which is why the censor stipulation for films in India confuses me tremendously.” Siddharth shared that he’s an emotional person and cries while watching a film. So the interviewer asked him if he cried watching Chiththa, to which he replied, “I’ve made Chiththa for two years and I’ve seen the film for more than 300 times, and it still makes me cry. Because of those two kids.”The actor also revealed that two years ago when he wanted to make ‘Chiththa’ and told 50 people that he’s going to make it, all of them told him not to make it. Siddarth went ahead and made it anyway, and now the film is being praised by all kinds of audiences.About the film's release in Telugu, some sources say that the film is being dubbed into Telugu language but is facing distribution woes, while the others say that the film is going to be remade into the language. However, the trailer of the film's Telugu version was released two days ago.
