Her absence from the event led to many baseless speculations about her mental health. Chiru’s light-hearted comment about Shruti’s absence from the event further added fuel to the fire. He said, “I wonder what she ate at Ongole or if she was threatened. She fell sick and couldn’t make it here.” For the unversed, on January 6, the actress attended the pre-release of Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy in Ongole.On Thursday, Shruti took to her social media and cleared the air and called out those who spread ‘misinformation’ about her health. The actress posted a screenshot of articles that mentioned that she is suffering from mental health issues. On the picture, the actor wrote, “ok so my flu turned into this? (sic)” She also penned a lengthy note and wrote, “Ok. So here’s the thing. Misinformation like this and the over-dramatisation or flippant handling of such subjects is what makes people afraid to talk about mental health. Guess what? It doesn’t work. I will always be a mental health advocate. I will always promote taking care of myself in all aspects. Oh and I had a VIRAL FEVER. So nice try.
