As per reports, Dhanush, Simbu, Vishal & Atharvaa were issued a ‘Red Card’ by the Tamil Film Producers Council
In a shocking turn of events in the Tamil film industry, it is reported that the Executive Body of the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) has decided to issue ‘Red Card’ to actors Dhanush, Silambarasan (STR), Vishal and Atharvaa.
Issuing a ‘Red Card’ to the actors means to temporarily bar them from working with any film producers in Tamil Nadu until further notice, and TFPC took this decision against them as per the complaints against these actors. Earlier, the council had also warned the actors about the same.
Dhanush, who apparently was supposed to direct a film for Sri Thenandal Films, is allegedly accused for not honouring his commitment to the production house, thus causing financial losses. Producer Michael Rayappan complained against Simbu for an alleged breach of contract on the work days for ‘Anbanavan Adangadhavan Asaradhavan’ — he accused that STR has worked for only 27 days out of the 60-day commitment to the film. While the former President of TFPC, Vishal, is facing allegations of mishandling the Council’s funds, Atharvaa is embroiled in the controversy surrounding Etcetera Entertainment, where producer Mathiazhagan filed a complaint against the actor in 2019 for not honouring his word to do another film with the production house post the debacle of their ‘Semma Botha Aagathey’.
Dhanush is currently working on ‘Captain Miller’ & Shekhar Kammula’s #D51, Vishal’s ‘Mark Antony’ is gearing up for release, Simbu is prepping for #STR48 and Atharvaa too is engaged in the current line-up of films.
