As Samantha Ruth Prabhu turns a year older, the makers of her upcoming film 'Shaakuntalam', release a poster wishing her 'Happy Birthday' Golden Girl Samantha turns 35 today and her journey so far is nothing short of being called a triumph. And it hasn't been a cakewalk. The actress has been raising the bar in her profession and is busy with back-to-back projects, not just in the Telugu film industry, but also in Bollywood and Hollywood as well. One of her current projects in post-production is Shaakuntalam and its makers have released a poster of her look from the film today, besides conveying their wishes for the actress. Samantha is set to play the titular role in the mythological love drama. Directed by Gunashekar, 'Shaakuntalam is based on the play 'Abhijñānaśākuntalam' written by one of ancient India's greatest poet and playwright Kālidāsa, and it follows the lives of Shakuntala and Dushyantha (played by Dev Mohan) and their love story. Earlier in February, the makers released the first look poster of Samantha as Shakuntala, in which she looked like an elysian princess surrounded by animals. The film wrapped up shooting last year, and the director had confirmed that the post-production would take a while as he wants his vision to be perfect, while the actress recently completed the dubbing for the film, which is expected to release in the later half of 2022.
