Mahesh Babu is set to appear in his upcoming film 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata', and gets candid about his role and the film in an exclusive interview to the Print Media Telugu industry's superstar Mahesh Babu is currently set to appear in the most anticipated film 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata', which will be releasing tomorrow. The film is said to be based on a story revolving around the banking sector, and the team is vigorously promoting the movie, setting interesting records. As part of the promotions, Mahesh Babu talked to the print media exclusively, getting candid about the film and his role in it. Q. Your film's team had mentioned that you felt similarities in SVP and your 2006 blockbuster film 'Pokiri', why is that? A. I think it was because, though my body langauge and my character are new for me, it follows the same trend of mass. The mass factor is the same in the film, which reminded me of Pokiri. You would probably get the same feeling you had gotten after watching Pokiri. I have to actually thank Parasuram for believing in me and giving me such a character. Q. As an actor, have you tried to define your character in your own way? A. I think Parasuram is a fantastic director, and I loved the way he had defined the characters in his film 'Geeta Govindam'. So, when I heard the story, I loved it and immediately said okay to the film. When I accept a film, I try to act in accordance with the story, and what the director has thought. For this film as well, I simply went with what the director had in mind. This is a new type of story, and there is a chance to continue exploring. I had a different hairstyle, body language, tattoo which enhanced my character in the film. I have been working on this film for four years, including the COVID-19 time, and I loved every moment of it. Q. As mentioned, there was a gap due to COVID, how did you manage the film during this period? Were there any changes during this time? A. I usually finish shoot for my films within 8 months, but this film took about 2 years of filming. It was quite a difficult time, but also new. Sometimes it was physically and emotionally exhausting but we sailed through, thanks to the amazing producers we had. Without their support and motivation I don't think it would've been possible. Coming to the story, we didn't do any changes at all, except for the song. We planned for a song titled "Murari", but we couldn't properly fit it in and we thought a mass song would be better. So we went to Thaman and got the "Ma.. Ma.. Mahesha" song. Q. Your past films have been message-oriented, what about this film? A. No, there are no messages in this film. People have been telling me that for the past few movies I have been only focusing on messages, and that it is a welcome change to see me act without boundaries. My previous films were a hit and so will 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' be. Directed by Parasuram, the movie has Keerthy Suresh as the female lead. The film is scheduled to release on May 12, 2022 worldwide.
