'Yashoda' actress pens a new year post says, “it’s time for newer and easier resolutions..ones that are kinder and gentler on ourselves”
Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu who is an avid social media user has been MIA for quite some time now. But recently Sam treated her fans with a new selfie as she posted a no-makeup selfie wearing a printed black and red night suit on her Insta and Twitter.
Apart from her picture, her caption caught netizens' attention. She captioned the post, "Function forward… control what we can!! Guess it’s time for newer and easier resolutions.. ones that are kinder and gentler on ourselves. God bless. Happy 2023!!(sic)"
Her fans and friends flooded the comment section with sweet messages. Her ‘Citadel’ co-star Varun Dhawan dropped a smiley emoticon on the post, while singer and Samantha’s friend Chinmayi Sripaada commented with heart emoticons. While Naga Chaitanya’s cousin and Venkatesh’s daughter Aashritha wrote “✨”. In October this year, the actress revealed that she's dealing with Myositis - an autoimmune condition that weakens the muscles in the human body.
On the professional front, Samantha was last seen in the blockbuster film Yashoda, in which she played a surrogate mother. Directed by Telugu debutante directors Hari and Harish, and produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad the film is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. She will be next seen in Shiva Nirvana’s rom-com Kushi co-starring Vijay Deverakonda. She also has Shaakuntalam, a mythological drama written and directed by Gunasekhar (of Rudhramadevi fame), in her kitty. The actress is also gearing up for her Hollywood debut with BAFTA (British Academy Film Awards)-winning director, Philip John (of ‘Downtown Abbey' fame). The film is based on the novel ‘Arrangements of Love’.
