‘Shaakuntalam’ actress Samantha Tears Up At the Trailer Launch Event Despite going through hard times, actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu kick-started the promotions for her film mythological love drama Shaakuntalam. Helmed by Gunasekhar. the trailer of the film was unveiled today and gives a sneak peek into the world of Shakuntala.Speaking at the trailer launch event, the Yashoda actress got emotional as she spoke about her difficult times. “I gathered a lot of strength to attend the event today. After the trailer launch, I just wanted to witness your (fans') appreciation and love for the movie. I have faced many struggles in life, but one thing that has remained constant is how much I love cinema and how much cinema loves me back. I think that with Shaakuntalam, this love will only continue to grow," said Samantha.She further added, “I recently watched the movie, and it exceeded my expectations and what Gunasekhar garu had promised. After watching the movie, I fell at Gunasekhar Garu's feet. Everyone will likely experience the same emotions that I did while watching the film.”Samantha also thanked the film’s presenter, Dil Raju. “Dil Raju Garu, thank you so much for believing in the film. Thank you for creating a magical world with Shaakuntalam without any calculations just with the aim of making good cinema,” said the actress. The film will see Dev Mohan as ‘King Dushyantha’. Kabir Bedi, Prakash Raj, Sachin Khedekar, will be seen in pivotal roles in the film. Interestingly, Allu Arjun's daughter Allu Arha is making her big screen debut with this film, playing the role of 'Bharata'.The film will hit the big screens on February 17 and will lock horns with Vishwak Sen’s Das Ka Dhamki and National award-winning actor Dhanush’s debut Telugu film Sir. The movie will be simultaneously released in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
