Days after her IVIg treatment, the 'Shaakuntalam' actress visits a famous temple in Tamil NaduActress Samantha Ruth Prabhu went to Tamil Nadu’s Palani Murugan temple to seek blessings as she undergoes treatment for Myositis and gears up for the release of her much-awaited mythological drama Shaakuntalam. Her fans shared videos and pictures of her offering prayers.Dressed in a simple suit, Samantha climbed 600 steps of the temple, lighting camphor on every step. The actress was accompanied by her Jaanu director C Prem Kumar. She kept her mask on for the duration of the temple visit.Last year the actress informed her fans about suffering from an autoimmune disorder, Myositis. Sam recently took to Insta and shared a picture of taking Intravenous Immunoglobulin Therapy (IVIg) sessions. She uploaded a picture with directors Nandini Reddy and Rahul Ravindran and wrote, “Monthly IVIG party. New normal.” According to WebMD, IVIg is “a therapy which can help people with weakened immune systems or other diseases fight off infections.” Samantha recently started shooting for filmmakers Raj and DK’s science fiction series ‘Citadel’ co-starring Varun Dhawan. Her first look from the same was unveiled recently. Apart from ‘Citadel’, the actress is also awaiting the release of her pan-Indian film ‘Shaakuntalam’, which has now been postponed twice. It was earlier expected to release on February 17 has now been pushed to April 14.
