While the cast and crew of ‘Mangalavaaram’ hasn't been announced yet, the story of the film will supposedly be set against the backdrop of a village. Reports also state that Ajay is keen on commencing the shoot of the film and is currently on the quest to find a suitable face for the women-centric movie. While the rumour mill was abuzz about Payal Rajput, who starred in ‘RX100’ being the top contender, there is no official confirmation about the same.
The film will have a total of 30 characters who contribute to the larger scheme of the film. Speaking about the unconventional movie, Ajay said, “Magalavaram is a concept-based movie. It belongs to a never-tried-before genre in Indian cinema. You will know the rationale behind the title when you watch the movie. There are 30 characters and every character has got a certain place in the larger scheme of the film. Every character is relevant and important. (sic)”
Apart from directing the film, Ajay Bhupathi is also producing it in association with Swathi Gunupati and Suresh Varma M under the banners Mudhra Creative Works and A Creative Works, respectively. Anjaneesh Loknath, who provided the tunes for Kantara, is on board as the composer.
