Rajamouli's ‘RRR’ wins big at Hollywood Critics Association AwardRajamouli’s magnum opus RRR makes India proud yet again as it continues its streak of winning international awards. The film has now won the prestigious Hollywood Critics Association Awards 2023 in several categories. The action drama won awards in the ‘Best International Film’, ‘Best Stunts, ‘Best Action Film,’ and ‘Best Original Song’ for “Naatu Naatu”.Rajamouli in his acceptance speech said, "A big thanks to all the members of HCA who thought RRR had the best stunts. I must first thank my choreographer Solomon who put in lots and lots of effort to compose all the stunts, to execute all of them. Joji who helped in some of the climax action sequences. And there are other stunt choreographers as well who really worked very hard, came to India, understood our vision, changed their working style to suit our working style. And of course my wonderful actors, NTR and Ram Charan. In the innumerable action shots, in the whole film, I can hardly think of two or three shots where we used body doubles. Each and every stunt by them itself (Charan and Tarak). They are wonderful guys. It's the combined effort of all the team, and I thank the whole team. We put in 320 days of hard work to make this film and most of those days were taken by the stunts and this recognition means a lot. Not just to me, to my film, but for (the) whole Indian Film Industry. Thank you guys. Hope we have these wings (pointing at the award) to fly further. And lastly to my country itself, the land of wonderful stories...Mera Bharat Mahan... Jai Hind_ Thank You!"Ram Charan was also present at the ceremony and accompanied the director as they received the award for ‘Best International Film’. Interestingly, he was also one of the presenters at the function.
