‘RRR’ bags two wins at the Critics Choice Awards 2023 Maverick SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus, RRR, is receiving unwavering love from the international film fraternity. After a historic win at the Golden Globes, the movie continued its winning streak at the Critics Choice Awards.“Naatu Naatu,” composed by MM Keeravani and written by Chandrabose, won the ‘Best Song.’ The peppy dance number beat the likes of Rihanna's “Lift Me Up” from 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever', Taylor Swift's “Carolina” from ‘Where the Crawdads Sing', “Ciao Papa “from - Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio', Lady Gaga and Bloodpop's “Hold My Hand” from 'Top Gun: Maverick', and “New Body Rhumba” from ‘White Noise’.Director Rajamouli won the award for ‘Best Foreign Language Film,’ pulling ahead of Golden Globe winner ‘Argentina, 1985’, and ‘All Quiet on the Western Front’, ‘Bardo, False Chronicle Of A Handful Of Truths’, ‘Close’ and ‘Decision To Leave’. He was also nominated in the ‘Best Director’ category.Critics Choice Awards were first established in 1996 by the American-Canadian Critics Choice Association (CCA) to honour the finest in cinematic achievement.
