Director Harish Vadthya of ‘Telangana Devudu’-fame helms the movie. Earlier today, the makers of the movie commenced filming at Sarathi Studios. Filmmaker Tulseeram sounded the clap while retired IAS officers Ramachandru Tejawat and TSWC (Telangana State Warehouse) Chairman Sai Chand handled the camera. Subsequent to the ‘Muhurtham’ ceremony, Team ‘Chitralekha’ held a press conference, wherein, director Harish Vadatya stated, “This is my second film and we have worked on the pre-production for about six months now. It’s a good love and romantic crime thriller. Subhash and Sriharsha are the two leads of the film. We plan to wrap up the entire shoot in two schedules and the story will be ” All the songs are very good. We want to complete it in two schedules. The entire movie will be in the backdrop of Vizag.”The lead actor Subhash also expressed his delight by stating, “I am glad to essay a very important role in the movie. Our director’s vision with regard to my character is sublime. I’m confident that this film will sharpen my skills as an actor and my prowess will be beneficial to the movie as well.”Chitralekha’s co-star Harsha remarked, “I need to put it out there that it is a very difficult task to pull the audiences back to the theatres at a time when OTT platforms offer content-driven flicks. It all comes down to the content; if it's good then audiences will definitely pay theatres a visit. I believe that Chitralekha offers the right content to attract moviegoers. This is an out-and-out thriller, and I’m sure that this project will succeed, given that director Harish Garu, who’s already helmed Telangana Devudu, handles our movie.”Actress Hidden Rose, who will portray the leading lady in ‘Chitralekha’ was quoted saying, “Our film has elements of the romantic genre with my character’s life revolving around that of the two male leads.”
