Taraka Ratna was 39Tollywood actor Nandamuri Taraka Ratna, and legendary actor-politician NT Rama Rao’s grandson, who was undergoing treatment at the Narayana Hrudyalaya following complications after cardiac arrest, passed away today at the age of 39.On January 27, the actor joined TDP politician Nara Lokesh, the son of former AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, in the Yuvagalam Padayatra in Kuppam. Soon after commencing the rally, the actor collapsed and was taken to the hospital, where he was treated for 23 days. As Taraka Ratna's health worsened this morning, family members, including Nandamuri Balakrishna, reached the hospital. Taraka started his acting career in 2002 with Okato Number Kurradu. He worked as the hero in several films before expanding his horizons by essaying the villain in the films Amaravathi and Raja Cheyyi Vesthe. He was last seen in the movie S5 No Exit and also had several other projects in the pipeline, including Mr Tarak and Amrutha Varshini.Taraka Ratna is survived by his wife, Alekhya Reddy, and daughter Nishka.
