“Records Are Meant To Be Broken,” Baahubali Producer Congratulates ‘Pathaan’

SRK's 'Pathaan' surpassed ‘Baahubali’ To Become The Highest Grossing Hindi Film
Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback film ‘Pathaan’, which was released on January 25, is still continuing its successful run at the theatres. In a mere 38 days, ‘Pathaan’ has become the highest-earning Hindi film and surpassed SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ which earned Rs 510.99 crore, followed by Yash’s ‘KGF 2’ (₹434 crores), Aamir Khan’s 'Dangal' (₹374 crores), and Sanjay Dutt’s biopic ‘Sanju’ (₹342 crores) starring Ranbir Kapoor.
Shobu Yarlagadda of Arka Mediaworks, the producer of ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ and ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ took to Twitter to congratulate Shah Rukh Khan and the team of ‘Pathaan’ for their achievement. He wrote, “Congratulations to @iamsrk sir, #SiddharthAnand @yrf and the entire team of #Pathaan on crossing @BaahubaliMovie 2 Hindi NBOC. Records are meant to be broken and I am happy it was none other than @iamsrk who did it! 😃 (sic).”
As per the official numbers released by Yash Raj Films, ‘Pathaan’ has earned Rs 1026 crore, with Rs 640 crore coming from India and Rs 386 crore from overseas. ‘Pathaan’ is an action-spy film that features Deepika and John Abraham in pivotal roles and Salman Khan in an extended cameo as his character from the Tiger movies, which are also a part of the new shared universe that YRF has set up.
