Directed by a debutant Shantharuban, the Telugu-Tamil bilingual film will go on floors soonRashmika Mandanna, who is working across various film industries, has signed a new film called ‘Rainbow’ and what's interesting about this project is that it's the Pushpa actress' first female-centric film, which will also see the Malayalam actor Dev Mohan in a pivotal role.Titled 'Rainbow'. the Telugu-Tamil bilingual film is being helmed by a debutant director Shantharuban and it was launched today with a formal pooja ceremony. I am so so excited to bring this character alive for all of you. Rainbow is definitely such a movie that will both entertain and excite you... the journey of the audience with the girl is going to be a crazy ride so bucket up all, this is going to be a fun ride. (sic)" Justin Prabhakaran is on board as a music composer, while the National Award-winning production designer Vineesh Banglan is in charge of the production design. Touted to be a breezy romantic fantasy drama, the movie is bankrolled by Dream Warrior Pictures.Earlier, Samantha was finalised as the heroine in the film and the makers also announced the same in October 2021. However, Samantha opted out due to unknown reasons and the project now went to Rashmika.
