Ram Charan showered praises on the entire cast and crew of ‘Waltair Veerayya’ at the success meet
Chiranjeevi-Ravi Teja starrer Waltair Veerayya has emerged as one of the most successful movies of the Tollywood industry, having grossed more than Rs 200 Crore at the box office. Two weeks after its release, the movie has already made its mark on the list of the highest-grossing Telugu movies of all time.
Yesterday, on January 28, Mythri Movie Makers, the production company that bankrolled the film, organised a success meet to celebrate the success of the movie. Ram Charan, or ‘Chitti Babu’ from Mythri’s previous venture Rangasthalam was present at the event as a special guest. The RRR actor, who is also the son of Megastar Chiranjeevi, was enthralled by the KS Ravindra (Bobby) directorial and did not waste any time in showering praises on the cast and crew involved in the making of the movie.
Ram Charan compared the craze for ‘Waltair Veerayya’ to that of ‘RRR’ in the west. He said that the euphoria for the Rajamouli directorial in the west is nothing compared to the “Poonakaalu” (celebrations) for Chiru’s movies in the Telugu states.
Further, Charry praised Bobby for crafting each frame of the movie to perfection, “Each frame is so beautiful, Chiranjeevi does not look like my father, he looks like he can be my brother. I came here as a fan of Chiru sir, to celebrate the movie with all of you present here.”
Finally, Charan spoke about the one character that he loved the most, Ravi Teja. He revealed, “You (Bobby) made Ravi Teja act in a deep serious character for the first time, and crafted in such a way that we loved him in the role.” Charan added that after watching ‘ACP Vikram Sagar’ in action, he wanted more of the Mass Maharaja, so much so that he immediately watched Ravi Teja’s blockbuster Dhamaka on Netflix. “That is the Poonakaalu Loading effect,” Charan concluded.
