Apart from “Naatu Naatu” composer Keeravani, actress Raveena Tandon received the awardOn April 5, Oscar-winning music composer MM Keeravani was awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award, by President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister. Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah were in attendance during the presentation ceremony. Earlier, when he had received the news that we would be honoured with the Padma Shri, he tweeted: "Much honoured by the civilian award from the Govt of India Respect for my parents and all of my mentors from Kavitapu Seethanna garu to Kuppala Bulliswamy Naidu garu on this occasion." Maverick filmmaker SS Rajamouli also attended the event. "Naatu Naatu" is the first Asian/Indian/Telugu song to win an Oscar, beating the likes of Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and Ryan Lott.
