During the promotional round of KGF: Chapter 2, Prashanth Neel talks about his inspiration behind the elevations of heroism and praises Chiranjeevi, calling him his idol The second and final chapter in the KGFverse is the upcoming film KGF: Chapter 2. The film is a continuation of the first part of the film and focuses on Rocky Bhai’s (played by Yash) struggle to continue helping the people of KGF, against his enemy Adheera (played by Sanjay Dutt). The film is releasing this week, and the promotions have begun on a full-swing, with the cast and crew visiting different locations for press meets and public appearances. As a part of the promotions, the film’s director Prashanth Neel was seen giving an interview and was asked where he draws his inspiration from. The director responded by saying that while he always adored Telugu films, his favorite icon of the '90s is Megastar Chiranjeevi. He also added that a lot of his inspiration for the elevation of heroism in his movies comes from the Telugu film industry. He went on to say that the kinds of movies that era had seen were truly heroic with over-the-top elevations, and continued that the movies were built around those scenes. His latest film KGF: Chapter 2 is an action thriller that consists of heroism and elevation scenes. The film is slated to be released on April 14, 2022.
