After actor Taraka Ratna, 'Sagara Sangamam' editor passes away Tollywood gets yet another shocker. After actor cum politician Taraka Ratna, renowned film editor GG Krishna Rao, passed away this morning at his residence in Bengaluru.The three-time Nandi Award-winning editor suffered from age-related health issues. He started as an assistant director and went onto work for over 300 movies in Telugu and Hindi including legendary directors like Dasari Narayana Rao, K Vishwanath, and Bapu.He was part of many classic Telugu movies such as Sankarabharanam, Sagara Sangamam, Swathi Muthyam, Subhaleka, Seethamaalakshmi, Swarabhishekam, and a lot more. Besides Telugu, he edited a few Hindi, Tamil, and Kannada movies as well. His popular Hindi movies include 'Milan', 'Eeshwar', 'Sur Sangam', 'Jwar Bhata' 'Mastana' and others.His last film as an editor was Sri Rama Rajyam (2011) featuring Balakrishna and Nayanthara in the lead roles.
