Indian actress Pooja Hegde is set to make her debut at the 75th edition of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival One of the Top 5 international film festivals in the world, The Cannes Festival is held in Cannes city of France every year. New films of all genres, including documentaries from all around the world, are previewed in front of the jury at the festival. Started in 1946, the festival attendance is by invitation only, and is held at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès convention centre. Many Indian actors including Chiranjeevi, Vidya Balan, Ram Charan and Deepika Padukone have attended the previous editions of the festival. This year is a special edition as the Cannes’ Marche’ Du Film will be celebrating India as its 'Official Country Of Honour' and many established actors have been invited to grace the event. While the south is proud to represent the country on the international dais on this occasion, this year a pan-Indian actress has gotten the invitation for the first time. Actress Pooja Hegde, who was last seen in the film 'Acharya', is all set to make her debut on the red carpet of Cannes. She is set to take off to France on May 16, 2022. While the festival will be held from May 16, 2022 to May 28, 2022, the actress would only be attending the festival on the May 17 and 18, and is also likely to be present at the after-party with the most celebrated actors. Apart from Pooja Hegde, actor R Madhavan is also set to walk the carpet as his directorial debut film 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect' will be premiered at the festival. Along with them, actress Tamannaah Bhatia, Lady Superstar Nayanthara, Akshay Kumar and Nawazuddin Siddiqui will also be in attendance. Meanwhile, Project K actress and Bollywood Queen Deepika Padukone, who is a prominent attendee at the Cannes Film Festival, is invited to be on the jury at the festival.
