Siddharth Anand's directorial is set to stream on OTT soon
Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone's blockbuster film ‘Pathaan’, which was released on January 25, clocked 50 days of its worldwide release yesterday. The film has collected more than Rs 1045 crore worldwide. While the movie continues to entertain in theatres, the Siddharth Anand-directorial will start streaming on OTT as well.
The action entertainer stars John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia, and Ashutosh Rana, in pivotal roles, however it was Salman Khan's cameo as ‘Tiger’ that made the theatres erupt into loud cheers. ‘Pathaan’ will reportedly start premiering on Amazon Prime Video on March 22.
Recently, director Siddharth Anand opened up on Pathaan’s sequel and said, “We are just so immersed in the euphoria of Pathaan that there is nothing else happening right now. It is still doing so well, by God’s grace, so the journey of the sequel, whenever it does, we will make a big announcement about it.”
Breaking the record of Rajamouli’s magnum opus 'Baahubali: The Conclusion', SRK’s comeback film ‘Pathaan’ marked it's place as the highest-earning Hindi film, followed by Yash’s ‘KGF 2’ (₹434 crore), Aamir Khan’s 'Dangal' (₹374 crore), and ‘Sanju’ (₹342 crore) starring Ranbir Kapoor.
It is also the fifth Indian film to have crossed the Rs 1000 crore mark worldwide after ‘Dangal’, 'Baahubali: The Conclusion', ‘KGF 2’, and ‘RRR’. Interestingly ‘Pathaan’ has achieved the milestone without being released in China.
