CBFC Chief Prasoon Joshi Says "CBFC is always committed to find the right balance between creative expression and sensibility"Seems like controversies are far from ending for SRK-Deepika’s pan-Indian action entertainer Pathaan. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) chairperson Prasoon Joshi has advised makers of 'Pathaan' to implement certain changes in the film, including its songs, and submit a revised version of the film. The film that marks Shah Rukh’s comeback after four long years is scheduled to release on January 25, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.Screenwriter-cum-poet Prasoon Joshi said, "Pathaan went through the examining process as per the CBFC guidelines. The committee has asked the makers to implement the advised changes in the film including the songs and submit the revised version prior to theatrical release. He further added, "CBFC is always committed to find the right balance between creative expression and sensibility of the audience and believe that we can always find a solution through meaningful dialogue between all stakeholders.""Whilst the process is getting duly followed and implemented I must reiterate that our culture and faith is glorious, intricate and nuanced. And we have to be careful that it does not get defined by trivia which takes the focus away from the real and the true. And like I have said earlier as well, that the trust between creators and audience is most important to protect and the creators should keep working towards it."Recently the makers released the song “Besharam Rang” (“Naa Nijam Rangu” in Telugu), after which several politicians raised objection over the use of saffron and green costumes. A few even staged a protest and burnt effigies of Deepika and Shah Rukh.Madhya Pradesh minister Narottam Mishra threatened to ban ‘Pathaan’ in Madhya Pradesh if some scenes in the film are not replaced and said, "The costumes in the song at first glance are objectionable. It is clearly visible that the song of the film Pathaan has been shot with a dirty mindset."Also Read: SRK-Deepika's 'Pathaan' Accused Of Plagiarism Yet Again
