Part 1 of the Nag Aswin directorial is reportedly in post-productionProject K, under the direction of Nag Ashwin, accounts for an unfathomable amount of hype while its shoot is still underway. The star-studded cast, which includes some of the biggest names in the Indian film industry - Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan takes the credit for the heightened anticipation surrounding ‘Project K’. According to the latest reports, the movie will be released in two parts. The first part will release in theatres in April 2024, while the second part is expected to be out less than a year later. The source speaking to Pinkvilla said, “The vision and plot point of Project K is so big that the makers have decided to make it a 2-part film. While the first part will establish the world and conflict of this magnum opus, the entire drama will unfold in the second half, much like what happened in the Bahubali Franchise.” Shooting for the first part is reportedly completed, and the movie is already in post-production, which is expected to take a long time because of the heavy VFX work involved. The second part is apparently in production. In a media interaction in late 2022, Nag Aswin revealed why the production is taking such a long time. He talked about the time-taking process of materialising his cinematic vision onto the big screen and emphasised how everything has to be built “from scratch” to overcome the technical challenges.
