For the first time since making its debut in India in 2016, Netflix reduced its pricing in December 2021 as its subscriber base fell down drastically. Many experts pointed out that the lack of Indian films and regional content on Netflix is the reason behind its decline. Its competitors Amazon Prime Video, Hotstar, and ZEE5 have been catering to wider audience by delivering regional content. Seems like the OTT giant Netflix has finally cracked the code and is now focusing on local content.As per the official announcement by Netflix India South, the OTT platform has acquired the streaming rights of many highly ambitious Telugu movies including, Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Bholaa Shankar, Dasara starring Natural Star Nani, Superstar Mahesh Babu starrer #SSMB28 amongst others.
