The Natural Star shared an unforgettable incident while filming the song "Ori Vaari", which gave him sleepless nights In a career spanning more than a decade, 'Natural Star' Nani has made a name for himself in the industry as an actor who is willing to experiment with his scripts and roles. He took it a notch higher with ‘Dasara’, in which he'll be seen sporting a rugged look with a beard and long hair. He has changed everything from his clothing to his dialogue style, for the upcoming movie. The challenges, however, were more than just changing his looks. In a recent interview, he shared about an unforgettable incident during a song shoot, which he termed as a ‘nightmare’ and said that he couldn't sleep properly for two months.Nani revealed, “When filming Ori Vaari song, I was supposed to climb a dump truck carrying a full load of coal. The sequence required me to jump into the dump truck and then fall down along with the load as the dump gets released when the gates open. The team had prepared synthetic coals, but they still had a lot of dust. So, I fell onto the ground, and then followed the load of coals, forcing me to inhale a sack of dust until the team dug me out. I am not narrating this as a happy experience, it was unforgettable and scary. That incident caused me to lose sleep for over two months. There used to be this feeling of disturbance within. It slowly faded away with time.”When he was questioned whether the experience will deter him from picking up similar scripts in future, Nani said, “If the story and script of that film excites me as much as this (Dasara), I will not hesitate to climb and fall off a truck full of coal once again.”The actor also admitted that ‘Dasara’ is by far his most challenging film. About filming in the coal mines, he said, “In the coal mines, there would be vapours coming out of the ground around us because of the heat. The production team would come spill water on the ground to subside the vapours. It made us respect the people who work there day in and day out.”‘Dasara’ directed by debutant Srikanth Odela, is slated to release on March 30. The film also stars National Award winning-actress Keerthy Suresh as the female lead, who is said be the heart of the story.
