Nani Compares Himself With Ram Charan As He Responds On Nepotism Debate

Nani and Rana open up on the ongoing insider vs outsider debate as they attend a popular talk show
Rana Daggubati and Nani recently shot for the popular talk show ‘Nijam with Smitha’ streaming on the OTT platform SonyLiv. Both the actors spoke about the most trending topic nepotism. Nani who is a self-made star and hails from a non-filmy background compared himself with Ram Charan, and said, "One lakh people will watch Nani’s first film, while one crore people will watch Charan’s first film. It's the audience, who is responsible for encouraging nepotism as people always want to see their idol's sons and daughters on the big screen."
Rana who carries the legacy of the Akkineni-Daggubati family also shared his views on the insider vs outsider debate. He said, “If you can’t carry on your parents’ achievements and legacy, then you’re doing a disservice to your family.”

On the work front, Nani is gearing up for the release of his debut pan-Indian film, Dasara. Originally shot in Telugu, the movie will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam on March 30. Speaking about Srikanth Odela directorial Nani said: “Last year, RRR came from Telugu cinema. KGF and Kantara came from Kannada cinema. I can confidently and with a lot of pride say that Dasara will come from Telugu cinema in 2023.”
On the other hand, Rana will be next seen in ‘Rana Naidu’. Also starring Venkatesh Daggubati the series brings together the real-life uncle-nephew for the first time and also marks 'Victory' Venkatesh’s digital debut. The out-and-out action entertainer will start streaming on Netflix from March 10.
