The film that is based on a true story, will release in 11 languages.‘The Vaccine War’, which will hit the theatres on August 15, 2023, will see veteran actor Nana Patekar in the lead role, while Anupam Kher, will also essay a pivotal role in the film. The movie is being bankrolled by Abhishek Agarwal and actor-producer Pallavi Joshi, Vivek's wife. There were reports that the film is based on COVID-19. Debunking the claims Vivek confirmed that the film is not about Covid-19 and revealed what triggered him to make ‘The Vaccine War’. “The shooting of The Kashmir Files was delayed because of the pandemic and lockdown. I was very upset and frustrated and did some research on Covid. That’s when I realised the incredible effort of Indian scientists and doctors who selflessly worked round-the-clock to come up with a suitable vaccine. They sacrificed everything for this noble pursuit, raced against time, and saved millions of lives. It was nothing short of a war, hence the title,” said Vivek.
