Ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam talked about the visionary SS Rajamouli at a song launch event of his upcoming film 'Ponniyan Selvan' (PS-1 in Telugu). He also thanked actor Chiranjeevi at the event, which left the fans hunting for the reason behind the filmmaker's expression of gratitude - Is Chiranjeevi part of PS-I? Did he play a role? Did he give the voice over? and, what not!
Speaking about the Master filmmaker, Mani Ratnam said "I want to Thank #SSR gaaru. In a way, he has opened up the doors for all of us that this kind of film can be made and he has showed us that it can be done in two parts like you can tell a story in 2 parts and be successful. #PS1 is possible today because of #Baahubali so I really want to thank you." However, Mani Ratnam didn't reveal the reason as to why he thanked the Megastar, moreover, he said "I will not say why as you'll find out later." This left the fans in excitement and wait until the film's release.
