During the trailer launch of 'Major', a journalist asked Mahesh Babu if he would be headlining a biopic on his father, and the latter replied in all humility For long, fans of superstar Krishna and Mahesh Babu have nourished the hope that they would get to see a biopic made on the yesteryear actor Krishna headlined by his son superstar Mahesh Babu. At the trailer launch of the film Major, which is produced by Mahesh Babu, a journalist narrated an incident to Mahesh - “I had recently gone to a small village near Amalapuram. The people there were taking out a procession of their village deity. I also saw them carrying a photograph of you. I asked them “Why are you carrying a photograph of Mahesh Babu in this religious event?” They said Mahesh was their god whereas the deity was the god of the village". Adding on that, the journalist asked Mahesh Babu "As an actor with such an incredible fan following, when can we expect a biopic on your father superstar Krishna?”. Responding to this with a proud face and a smile, Mahesh said “I can never act in that biopic, because he is my god. However, I am perfectly willing to produce a biopic on him”. Mahesh’s response makes it a certainty that if there is a biopic ever made on Krishna, he will definitely not feature in it.
